I don’t like the song much, frankly. And Madhuri is noticably subdued and not as electrifying as we know her to be. But hell, it is Madhuri Dixit dancing on a brand new song called ‘GHAGRA’ and it is good news no matter what.
What is noticeable to me and one billion Bollywoodites is the Ranbir Madhuri pairing.
All our heroes are known to romance actresses half their age so routinely that we do not even notice it. Sanjay Dutt and Prachi Desai??? Really????
Salman, Ajay Devgan, Shahrukh, Aamir romance girls in their twenties and thirties – nobody notices.
But here the very fact that an older woman is paired with a much younger man in a mainstream movie is a big leap for Bollywood.
Even if it is just a song…
Even if item songs are not exactly feminist…
Even if Madhuri Dixit is an exception to all rules….
